The Syngrou Estate is located in an area of 950 acres, on the borders of the Municipalities of Kifissia, Amaroussi and Melissia. The main entrance is on Kifissias avenue, at the height of the KAT hospital. After her death, Ifigenia Mavrokordatou-Syggrou, wife of Andreas Syggrou, wanted the estate to be utilized and to help "educate good farmers and gardeners". In 1988, its management was taken over by the Institute of Agricultural Sciences. It has a lot of greenery, dominated by pine and cypress. The visitor walks or cycles and comes into contact with nature, discovering its magic. In Alsos there are also sports facilities, the church of Agios Andreas, the Beekeeping Museum, which houses unique beehives from all over the country, the building facilities of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, the National School of Anavryta, a small ancient theater as well as 2 picturesque lakes with of 100 goldfish of various species and color varieties.
