Museum of Cycladic Art

The Museum of Cycladic Art was founded in 1986 to house the collection of Cycladic and Ancient Greek art of Nicholas and Aikaterini Goulandris. It is dedicated to the study and promotion of the cultures of the Aegean and Cyprus, with special emphasis on Cycladic Art of the 3rd millennium BC millennium. Its exhibits include approximately 3,000 objects of Cycladic, Ancient Greek and Cypriot art. Besides archaeological reports the MCA organizes contemporary art exhibitions that bring the public in contact with important artists of the 20th century (Dali, Picasso, etc.) and explore deeper relationships of ancient art and contemporary artistic expression. Opening hours: Monday - Wednesday - Friday - Saturday 10:00 to 17:00, Thursdays 10: 00-20: 00 Sunday: 11: 00-17: 00, Tuesdays closed. The museum is closed on 1/1 Sunday & Easter Monday, Holy Spirit Day, 1/5, 25-26 / 12, 25/3, 15/8.
