Vanilia Bistro brings a Parisian air to one of the top neighborhoods of the Center, balancing uniquely between yesterday and today. It is housed in a 1920's building, in the traditional but at the same time hipster Koukaki, carrying the aura of old Athens and the fragrance of our beloved vanilla. He listens to jazz and world music, serves fragrant coffees, hearty Greek breakfasts, homemade sweets and dishes of the day. In the evening, it transforms into the coziest corner of Athens with aperitivos, Greek spirits, a wide range of beers from small breweries and classic cocktails, such as Mojito and Mai Tai, decongesting the tension of the day and creating the most beautiful atmosphere.
Enjoy comfort food suggestions, such as eggs in various versions, or special recipes with veal with pomegranate, petimezi, fork-mashed potato, and chicken fillet in parmesan crust, grilled vegetables, and feta mousse and the famous beef burger with cheddar, bacon, caramelized onions and BBQ sauce that will take your meal to the next level. Voula Dasakli, who has been managing the "Ampelosofies" cellar for years, curates the extremely current wine list, which includes international labels, as well as her own wines from her estates in Nemea.
The interior area features original artwork on the wall, while the outside space is ideal for spring and summer nights in Athens. You will undoubtedly manage to make a very nice wine match, whichever wine you have selected, with a very fascinating menu that varies from local traditional Greek cuisine, bruschetta, salads with fresh vegetables and seafood.
