Marina Flisvos caters to both large pleasure boats and sea and yachting enthusiasts. Its sprawling 8,200-square-meter facilities, nestled within 25 acres of greenery, allow visitors to relax under the Athenian sky. You can sip your coffee, go shopping, and dine at waterfront restaurants serving a variety of cuisines. For those interested in naval history, the "Battleship G. Averof," a floating Naval Museum, is a living testament to the Greek Navy's modern history. The Neraida is another captivating floating museum that traces the maritime journey of sea magnate G. Latsis through personal items and photographs that adorn the ship, enriching the narrative of Greek shipping. An impressive submarine turret rises from a chasm on the waterfront of Floisvos Park, resembling an emerging submarine when viewed from distant ships. This one-of-a-kind monument, dedicated to the fallen heroes of Greek submarines during WWII, was built in collaboration between the Municipality of Faliro and the Naval Echelon of the Skaramangas Shipyards, in response to a proposal by the Hellenic Submarine Association. The Naval Headquarters generously provided the turret itself.
