Anavyssos, historically known as Anaflystos, is a region in southeastern Attica on the Athenian Riviera. The first beach in Anavyssos is marked by a "Property 48" sign at the 48th kilometer of the Athens-Sounio road. A short descent to the right leads to a beach with clear waters, sandy shores, and natural seclusion provided by nearby rocks. The beach in front of the salt flats is a popular spot for surfers. Agios Nikolaos beach, with its serene beauty and golden sands, offers both organized and unorganized areas, providing a range of choices.
