The National Museum of Contemporary Art was established at the former Fix brewery in Syngrou Avenue, which is its permanent home since February 2014. Its mission is to enrich the permanent collections with works of modern art, of Greek and international character. Guests here have the opportunity to admire paintings, sculptures, videos, installations, sound works and online works by contemporary artists. The National Museum of Modern Art hosts works of leading Greek and foreign representatives of modernism, such as Costas Tsoklis, John Psychopedis, Costas Varotsos, Vlassis Caniaris, Jannis Kounellis, Nikos Kessanlis, Shirin Neshat, Mona Chatoum, Gary Hill, Bill Viola, Emily Zasir and other great artists. The new building provides more than two of floors for the presentation of the permanent collection, and gives space to temporary exhibitions, conferences, events, educational programs for children and adults, library, room project, media lounge, etc. On the top floor of the Museum is the NYN ESTI restaurant which offers dishes from non-organic and pure ingredients promising to satisfy even the most "demanding" palates. When the custom guided tour is for university or college groups, the total ticket price is 5€ per person.
